We are so excited you are interested in this most Transformational  Adventure to East Africa.

Rwanda and Uganda are unique off-the-beaten-path travel destinations that will allow for learning, growing and giving back. On our 11 day Safari & Cultural Adventure you will have magical, life changing experiences. You will learn deeply about Cultural Competency & Cultural Humility, as you travel to a new place that is so different from your everyday life. You will learn why Self-Care & Burn out Prevention for clinicians is not an option but rather mandatory to avoid burnout, to help us to stay present in the room so we support both our client's and ourselves. You will also meet a Ugandan Social Worker, who will teach us about Mental Health in Uganda from a cultural perspective and working with the HIV/AIDS population in Kampala. 

You will earn up to 14 APA &  ASWB CE's.

Landing in Rwanda will be the first leg of our journey. Rwanda, while a short part of our adventure, will provide deep learning about humanity through our visit to the Genocide Museum. You will also experience the beauty of the land and people. We will spend two days in Kigali doing the following activities: 

*Visit a local woman's cooperative that helps support local woman through classes, craft selling and city tours.
*City walk of Kigali
*Visit to the Genocide Museum 
*Visit the famous Kigali craft market

We will then drive to the Uganda border for the remainder of our safari. 

Uganda, is sometimes called the hidden gem of East Africa because it is a magical and transformative county. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of the more 'popular' African destinations, you will experience all that the continent has to offer and more. This quieter, gentle country will allow you will to have richer and more meaningful experiences. In Uganda you will: 


*You will visit 4 National Parks for multiple safari drives to search for the Big 5.

*You will visit the Equator.

*You will go on two cruises, viewing both wildlife and natural wonders (including the most powerful waterfall on the Earth).

*Chimpanzee Trekking & Mountain Gorilla Trekking.

*You will visit local farms including a coffee farm where you will have hands on experience in coffee roasting.

*You will visit a women's basket cooperative.

*Meet indigenous tribes and learn about their cultures.

During your travels you will have in-depth learning in the areas of culture. You will be in awe of the majestic landscape and fall in love with the warm, loving, kind culture. You will learn about yourself as have new and transformative experiences. You will make friends. You will laugh, sing, dance, grow and transform.

Price off the 11 day Safari is $6500 (we have increased the length 2 days from our previous safaris)

This includes all permits, lodging in high end hotels, excursions, 3 daily meals. Single Rooms, unless you are traveling with a companion.
